Becoming One In Christ | NOVEMBER 12th 2016

The Synod Faith and Unity Committee has planned a one day event “Becoming One In Christ” at the Centre for Ministry on Saturday 12th November from 9.00am till 3.30pm. We are hoping that many UCA Ministers and lay people from both metropolitan and non-metropolitan conregations , will be interested in attending in order to learn more about ecumenical co-operation at the national, state and local level, and to make a contribution to the discussion through a series of ‘table talks’. The guest speakers will be the Moderator, Rev. Dr. Chris Walker from the Assembly, Rev. John Barr, (until recently president of the NSW Ecumenical Council) and a number of people involved in ecumenical ventures at the local level.

The Committee needs indications of interest by Monday 19th September. If you are interested in attending could you please email our Secretary Doug Hewitt doug.isabel35@gmail.com or phone him – 0431 935 097 – by then.

Updating SCCP Database

To Faith Communities in SCCPresbytery
We are currently working to gather information to confirm details we already have and make any changes necessary to update our database. We need your assistance to do this. Please find the form below, which we ask you to complete and return (“SCCP data base update” in the subject line of the e-mail would assist us). Please note, that due to Privacy requirements, we ask that you obtain the consent of the people whose details are supplied. We are also aware that many congregations will have AGM’s coming up, so Office Bearers may change at that time. If that occurs, we ask that you send the updated details for those roles ASAP.

Thanks in anticipation,
